Continuing the theme of small charity week, I caught up with charity strategist, Wayne Murray from Humanity Squared and Fair Collectives’ Vic Hancock-Fell.

Wayne pulls no punches in sharing his frank take on the numerous challenges charities are currently facing.  We then hear from Vic regarding a crucial piece of research on the mental health of leaders of small charities.  Vic Hancock Fell, Founder of the social enterprise Fair Collective, shares the findings of research she led on the mental health of small charity leaders, including recommendations for these leaders and their boards.

Wayne’s Bio:

Wayne is the founder of Humanity Squared. He has worked in the sector since last century. His career has been split between charities and agencies. His career trajectory has gone like this…

Bits of fundraising. Then all of fundraising. Then innovation. Then brand and comms. Then campaigning. Then he realised that he still wasn’t able to get to the deeply rooted problems. So then service design. Then organisational design. He likes all of these things, which have now become the foundations of Humanity Squared.

Vic’s Bio:

Vic Hancock Fell is a former small charity co-founder and CEO, a current small charity Chair and a consultant and trainer for small charities.
She is also the Founder and Director at Fair Collective, a social enterprise that matches social good organisations with talented freelancers and consultants and donates at least 50% of its profits to the small charity sector.
