”Priya was amazing in helping me get my new job at RABI. Her support was a big part of my gaining the confidence to apply in the first place, after being in the same role for 17 years. Priya's communication is on point and nothing is too much trouble. Every time I messaged or called her she would respond straight away or at the earliest time that she could. She is reassuring and most of all shares your excitement and joy at every achievement along the way. Never underestimate the work you do Priya. If it hadn't been for your initial contact and ongoing communication and support I don't know if I would have had the confidence to take that first step.

Culture
Culture isn’t built overnight – it takes a long time to determine. At Charity People, we do our best to all live our values through our actions and we hope that by repeating this over many years, it’s become the norm. We are flexible, caring and family friendly.
Charity People is a supportive environment. We value collaboration, creativity, and growth. Whether you’re on the front lines of change or working behind the scenes, you’ll find a culture that celebrates ideas, nurtures talents, and supports wellbeing.
We’re extremely proud of where we are as a company and where we’re going. We have a strong retention with our colleagues and the feedback we receive from our quarterly employee satisfaction surveys is always extremely positive.
Over many years, we’ve had it fed back to us both internally and externally that our Charity People team largely displays the following characteristics: passion, respect, fun, integrity, and humility.
In the main, we hold our hands up when we make mistakes, we celebrate success, and we support one another in times of hardship. We trust one another and we’re self-motivated to drive the success of our desks and the overall business. We work hard and like to celebrate that hard work by having days and nights out with each other when the opportunity arises.
Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
Charity People are proud to be a business that sets the highest standards when it comes to equity, diversity and inclusion. We ensure that all of our recruitment processes, as well as the campaigns that we collaborate on with our clients, are fully and truly inclusive. These processes have been specifically developed to improve the diversity of the not-for-profit sector, removing barriers for those who may have faced discrimination from other businesses or organisations in the past.
As part of our dedication to being at the forefront of EDI practices, we benchmark candidate diversity every year. We believe in growing a diverse and high-performing staff team and use the results to make sure that belief is becoming a reality. The findings of our latest benchmarking exercise can be found on our EDI page.
Additionally, we work in partnership with organisations that support diversity in the workplace (e.g. the Disability Confident Scheme, and Empowered Foundations), recognising the need for continual diverse partnerships in the work that we do. We’re constantly learning and looking to improve our EDI practices wherever possible, however our high score in this area while gaining our B Corp certification is testament to the consistently strong standard of our approach to date.
