Abi is a Principal Consultant at Charity People, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in recruitment. With a background spanning qualitative market research, psychiatry and psychology, Abi takes a thoughtful, curious and genuinely people‑centred approach to her work.

Abi joined Charity People to build on her recruitment experience and broaden her remit, something she finds hugely energising. She now recruits across a wide range of roles within the charity sector, including Projects and Programmes, Monitoring & Evaluation, Impact and Services, Volunteering, Grant Giving, and Research & Evaluation. She is particularly interested in how organisations learn, reflect and strengthen their impact through good evidence and insight.

Before joining Charity People, Abi specialised in public and social sector research recruitment within an agency setting. She worked across multiple thematic areas and methodologies, from evaluation and social policy research to applied and mixed‑methods studies. This experience gives her a strong grasp of the technical demands of specialist roles, alongside a deep understanding of the environments charity organisations operate in.

Abi is known for offering practical, constructive and honest advice, working closely with candidates to support their long‑term career goals. For clients, she is a thoughtful and trusted partner, combining market insight with a genuine commitment to getting hiring decisions right.

Outside of work, Abi enjoys long walks with her dog and doing her best to avoid becoming a full‑time chauffeur to her teenage children. Her happiest days are spent soaking up the sun on a Greek island, and her long‑term dream is to leave London behind and set up home somewhere warm.
