How does it work?

Discovery Phase (2–4 Weeks)

Briefing

Meet with the board and key stakeholders. You get to know our team and we get to know your culture, values and mission, so we can represent you with credibility and confidence. Together, we agree requirements for the role, timeline and scope, and discuss your current challenges, strategic plans and areas of development.

Developing documentation

Design a detailed, informative and attractive candidate pack, to interest strong candidates and provide them with key information about the role.

Branding assets

Create video and image-rich content for use across social media and advertising. Our social media consultant can advise on how to advertise across your own platforms.

Desk-based research

Map the market, identify key networks and target organisations and individuals, and collate key information to open conversations for our consultants.

Search Phase (3–4 Weeks)

Direct outreach

Intelligently and discreetly approach individuals who meet the requirements of the role. This is where the majority of our talent pool comes from.

Branded advertising

Promote the opportunity on ACEVO, Charity Jobs, Guardian Jobs and our own website – all included in our fee. We can also advertise on sector-specific job boards.

Social media

Share to our 57,000 LinkedIn followers, 6,000 followers on X, generating referrals, recommendations and new conversations.

Email campaign

Reach our database of 43,000 registered candidates.

Assessment Phase (3–4 Weeks)

Application screening

Using competency-based screening methods and fact-checking calls, create a longlist of candidates to consider.

Long-list interviews (full search only)

Carry out first-stage interviews with each candidate and provide a detailed report on each one.

Shortlist & interviews

Present a shortlist of the best candidates and arrange interviews and referencing, if needed.

Additional services

For an additional cost, we can complete psychometric assessments of shortlisted candidates or attend interviews.

Appointment Phase (Ongoing)

Offer

Contact the successful candidate and support negotiations.

Contact unsuccessful candidates

Manage all communication with unsuccessful candidates, passing on any relevant feedback.

Follow-up

Stay in touch throughout the appointed postholder’s notice period and once they have joined.

3-month guarantee

If the appointed candidate resigns in writing within 3 months of starting the role, we will conduct a second search for their replacement on the terms outlined above, free of charge.
