Human Rights Commitment

Charity People publicly commits to respecting and upholding internationally recognised human rights in all its operations and business relationships.

In particular, Charity People commits to respect:

a) The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs)

We will avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts through our own activities and will seek to prevent or mitigate impacts directly linked to our operations, products, or services by our business relationships. We commit to providing or cooperating in the remediation of adverse human rights impacts where they occur.

b) The International Bill of Human Rights, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

We recognise the inherent dignity and equal rights of all individuals and will respect all internationally recognised human rights, ensuring that our policies, practices, and decisions do not infringe upon these fundamental rights.

c) The International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

We commit to respecting the core labour standards set out by the ILO, including:

• Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining

• Elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour • Effective abolition of child labour

• Elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

Implementation and Oversight

This commitment is supported through our policies, due diligence processes, training, grievance mechanisms, and continuous improvement practices. We expect our employees, contractors, and business partners to uphold these standards and to raise concerns where potential human rights impacts are identified.
