Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Seashell Trust to recruit a Digital Marketing Manager for a brand new role. The Digital Marketing Manager will be brought in to further develop, implement and review Seashell’s digital marketing strategy, and to ensure they increase awareness of their brand in order to grow their services and fundraising.
This exciting new role is a fantastic opportunity for to lead on social media, website development, and digital marketing for a charity who are transforming the young lives of those with the most complex disabilities.
Seashell Trust is a charity dedicated to providing a creative, happy and secure environment for children and young people with complex needs and additional communication challenges from across the UK. They deliver individually tailored support services that promote independence and build confidence through education programmes in schools and a specialist college, and through residential care provided for children in Seashell’s care homes.
About the role
As Digital Marketing Manager, you will develop a digital marketing strategy in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Communications which supports Seashell’s strategic and brand aims through the effective use of digital channels and media.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and leading Seashell’s digital content strategy, ensuring and supporting the effective creation, capturing and ongoing management of digital content across Seashell, supporting a wider audience development strategy.
- Building collaborative relationships across the whole organisation to develop a storytelling content approach, amplifying the charity’s ambition, brand, impact and the scale of work they do.
- Developing and delivering a comprehensive production plan/schedule to ensure audience and growth objectives are met.
- Driving online response rates and supporter engagement; online revenue growth and greater levels of engagement and loyalty with audiences.
- Taking the day-to-day lead for website development, providing guidance and support to external suppliers.
- Ensuring best use of digital channels to support marketing campaigns, optimising and widening audience reach and engagement and helping to drive revenue across commercial services.
- Line managing and developing staff, including facilitating appropriate professional development; undertaking supervisions/appraisals.
About you
We’d love to see applications from individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Experience of managing and leading the development of an engaged social media presence on behalf of an organisation; successfully protecting and enhancing brand, engagement and audience development
- Proven ability and previous successful experience of leading the development and implementation of digital engagement strategy for a complex organisation.
- Experience of working with stakeholders to translate a broad range of aims and objectives into an effective, measurable digital programme that is aligned to the overall digital strategy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience in an accessible and engaging way.
- Able to proactively develop team dynamics and performance, ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, persuade and influence at all levels both internally and externally
