Are you a senior fundraising leader looking to harness your talent to support young people, enabling them to discover their own passion and purpose?

Through a state-of-the-art building and v, young people are welcomed by friendly, qualified staff and committed volunteers. Open seven days a week, every day includes fun and engaging activities, and the support of youth workers to help young people reach their potential. There’s also targeted programmes like employability workshops to help young people get into employment, education or training. And inside Unitas’ enterprise suite, young people are encouraged to dream big and develop their entrepreneurial skills.

About the role:

As Head of Fundraising, you’ll work alongside the Chief Executive and key members of an active and diverse Board of Trustees. The Board is fully supportive of fundraising; their ambitions are such that achievement of targets will inspire further investment in the team to drive income growth.
You’ll lead the team to diversity our income streams, notably corporate partnerships, trusts and grants, and events and community fundraising. The perfect mix of strategy and hands-on fundraising.
You’ll also be personally responsible for looking after founding major donors and developing new partnerships with local individuals and businesses who are passionate about what we are achieving for young people in the city.

About you:

* You’re a proven major relationship fundraiser in your own right (either a specialist or generalist in philanthropy and trusts or corporates). You’re confident making significant six-figure asks and pitching to potential supporters
* You’re imaginative and ambitious in your strategic vision, and deliver through exceptional engagement and stewardship
* You have a proven track-record of income growth across multiple income streams, specifically major donors and new business, managing previous income targets in excess of £1 million
* You’re an empowering and enabling leader who elevates and energises their team, providing a nurturing environment for people to grow and flourish
* You understand the issues affecting disadvantaged young people, and care deeply about young people finding their purpose and reaching their potential
The strength of Unitas and the OnSide Network is the diversity of its people; they place huge value on equal opportunities and encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds, communities and abilities.

Location: Unitas is based in Burnt Oak. You would be expected to be at the Youth Zone a few days a week, but a hybrid model with home working and donor meetings would be expected. Flexible, life- and family-friendly.
