Womankind Worldwide is a fantastic global women’s rights charity, who work with women’s rights organisations to support and empower women around the world. Charity People are thrilled to be partnering with Womankind Worldwide to find them a brilliant HR Manager.

The HR Manager (People and Culture and Wellbeing) will provide HR strategic and operational leadership across the Charity. Working closely with senior management team, you will also lead on Womankind’s organisation development strategy and the policies that support their strategy. This is an integral role, where you will lead and implement the strategic direction for their global HR function, embed a strong wellbeing policy, and manage all aspects of the employee life cycle. The role has a high level of autonomy, and this is a stand-alone role, with administrative support already in place to support you where required.

This is an exciting time to join, with this being a new role, at a time when the charity is keen to develop new policies and modern ways of working, you will have a huge input, and take ownership in the strategic drive across the organisation. Womankind covers Kenya too, with four staff members to support. There are some big pieces of work to be done, that the successful postholder can put their mark on. The main focus initially will be to review the handbook, review contracts, provide IAG, staff culture and staff well-being, something they are keen to push on since the cultural shift we have experienced following the pandemic.

You will help balance the needs of demands within a complex, high work volume environment to facilitate the delivery of strategic and operational outcomes. You will be proactive in identifying any issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

The role requires a focused and engaging leader who is good at building strong relationships. You will be CIPD qualified, with experience of managing and leading a HR function, with in-depth knowledge of people related practices and organisational development, with drive to make Womankind a great place to work.

The office is based very close to central London stations including – Angel, Liverpool Street, Old Street. The role promotes flexible working and comes with some good benefits for their workforce.
