Interim Managing Director
Good Law Project (GLP) is a not-for-profit campaigning organisation which holds power to account and fights for a fairer, greener future. We believe in people-powered justice. We know that the law, in the right hands, can be a fair and decent force for good. It is a practical tool for positive change and can make amazing things happen.
Following the change of government, we are now working to shape the future of GLP. This pivotal moment presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative leader to join us. The chosen candidate will have the unique chance to design and lead change, enabling the organisation to deliver its objectives while working alongside the founding Executive Director. The role is interim for six to nine months in the first instance.
GLP boasts several unique features that set it apart. It is not constrained in its activity as a regulated charity would be and is not significantly reliant on any one funder – so very independent. As a small organisation it is strategically nimble, while operating to governance standards to which many larger organisations aspire. These distinctive features are integral to GLP’s identity.
Our close-knit staff team works across three core areas: campaigning, legal and operations. We are agile and reactive to external events which means Good Law Project suits people who thrive in a fast-paced, at times quite pressured environment. Our culture is open and innovative. We are brave, honest, and decisive – those are the values of Good Law Project. We recognise the value of our employees, individually and collectively, and are committed to investing in their welfare and development.
