Charity People have been recruiting senior appointments and delivering executive search for our clients for over 30 years. We are passionate about transformational leaders who drive positive change, build lasting relationships and who are committed to the mission of the organisation they work within. Having placed hundreds of senior level roles, we are experienced at responding to our clients individual needs and different diversity targets, always working with you to understand and achieve these. 

Board and Trustee

Aagile, diverse and engaged board is essential to the success of any organisation. They can fuel inspiration and enhance learning, whilst driving a charity forward to achieve its aims and ambitions. Our team has extensive experience of recruiting both trustees and high-level board roles and as we interact with trustees daily, we understand who needs to be in these positions and the challenges and subtleties that come with it. 

How we work with you:

It is vital that we spend time with all relevant stakeholders, to ensure they help us develop a thorough understanding of your organisation, values, culture and ultimately, the type of candidate who will thrive and deliver impact once in post

We design job packs that are both inspiring and engaging. This document is important as it tells prospective candidates why your organisation is unique and why they should consider joining your team

We actively market the post across a variety of job boards, whilst utilising our extensive networks and active social media channels

Charity People pro-actively identify and approach potential senior leadership talent. All of our team utilise a variety of headhunting techniques to ensure we reach the most relevant candidates, even those who might not be actively looking

We assess all our longlisted candidates through a first round of interviews, scoring them against an agreed criteria. We then go through these interviews with your recruitment panel, to agree a shortlist that will be invited to another interview

And finally we assist you with offer management; supporting you with delivering an offer that will be accepted and works for both sides

We work on both retained and contingent assignments

We work across the UK and have excellent networks across the sector. Although we’re much happier being involved from the outset, we can also provide specific help with individual elements of any recruitment project – be it designing a job description, developing a sourcing strategy, working up an assessment centre procedure, long-listing or indeed any part of the process where you feel you need specific help. 

We recruit for permanent and interim positions for both full and part-time vacancies and our process can be adapted based on your needs; we fully recognise we need to deliver different services to different organisations.  

However you engage us, we will always be honest about what we can and can’t deliver.
