The Head of Finance at CQI approached Charity People seeking a new Financial Accountant. They had been previously working with two of our competitors, and requested that Angela work alongside them.

The Head of Finance at CQI approached Charity People seeking a new Financial Accountant. They had been previously working with two of our competitors, and requested that Angela work alongside them.

Although working on a multi-agency basis for a role of this level was unorthodox, Angela felt confident that with her proactive approach and extensive network, she would be in a position to uncover the necessary talent by conducting a thorough 5 day search. By the end of the week, Angela had used all the tools at her disposal to connect with three brilliant qualified Financial Accountants, all of whom possessed the essential tax experience. Angela was pleased at how open the panel were, when shortlisting, as one candidate had been a professional interim/temp for many years. And this person could have so easily been judged/overlooked. The panel trusted Angelas’ assessments and feedback following her screening meetings and opted to invite all three to interview. By the panel adopting an inclusive approach, the interim candidate was given an equitable opportunity and on the day scored higher than the permanent alternatives. Many employers still allow a prejudice against temporary workers to be barrier in engaging with them regarding permanent opportunities. But working in partnership with CQI is yet more evidence why this shouldn’t be a concern.
