Charity People are recruiting a temporary Office & Operations Manager to join a fantastic small charity based in Ilford, who strive to help improve local communities in a number of ways. This charity has recently rebranded and is going through a period of growth, which has been very positive and has proven to be an exciting time, particularly to join the organisation.

They require an experienced Operations Manager, with strong Office Management skills to join them in May to take a lead in looking after the operational side of the charity and hold the fort, and ensure the charity is running smoothly. This is an integral role for the charity, and will entail working across the charity, with all teams. Typical day to day duties will include general administration, health and safety in the workplace, archiving, ensuring the teams have office supplies, support on any governance, liaising with trustees, pulling reports, and managing the HR system ensuring the administration is up to date, and being involved in any recruitment and onboarding.

You will bring knowledge and experience of improving processes, working on a HR system, Excel, management of new suppliers and contract management. This will be a varied role and requires the successful candidate to join their colleagues in the office a few days per week to ensure you are being able to achieve what is required in the role, in terms of the smooth running of the organisation. You will be a self-starter, independent, who has brilliant verbal and written communication skills.

There is a degree of flexibility on how the working week is, in terms of start/ finish times. The deadline for CVs and cover letters is Thursday 25th April, interviews will take place on Tuesday 30th April (ideally in person) with the view of starting week commencing the 6th or 13th May.
